Whisker Litter-Robot 3 Connect troubleshooting

The Whisker Litter-Robot 3 Connect is a rotating globe box. The steps below are the manufacturer's own; if a step involves opening the unit, check the warranty first.

Blue light flashing

Why: The waste drawer is nearly full.

What to do: Empty the drawer, put in a new liner, press Reset.[1]

Yellow light flashing slowly

Why: A cat entered during a cycle or the bonnet was removed.

What to do: Wait: it restarts 15 seconds after the cat leaves, or once the bonnet is back on.[2]

Yellow light flashing quickly

Why: The anti-pinch feature stopped the globe.

What to do: Clear the blockage and press any button to return the globe home.[3]

Red light flashing

Why: The cat sensor has been triggered for 30+ minutes (cat inside or too much weight).

What to do: Remove excess litter or waste, then press Reset or power-cycle.[4]

Yellow and red, or blue and red, lights flash in sequence

Why: The motor detected a jam or overload.

What to do: Power off, remove bonnet and globe, check gears, check litter level, reassemble and cycle; contact support if it persists.[5]

Blue, yellow and red flash in sequence or together

Why: The unit cannot find the Dump and/or Home position.

What to do: Contact Customer Experience.[6]
