Petcove PurrTek troubleshooting

5 problems the manual covers, with the cause and the fix it gives.

This is a rotating drum box. The steps below are the manufacturer's own; if a step involves opening the unit, check the warranty first.

A clump of waste was not emptied into the waste bin

Why: The trash door is jammed, the garbage bag is full, or the clump is too big for the trash door.

What to do: Check the trash door opens and closes freely, replace a full bag, and break up large clumps.1

Litter stays in the cylinder after a litter change cycle

Why: The garbage bag is too full or there is too much litter in the pan.

What to do: Replace the bag and run the litter change again; keep the litter near the MIN line before a change.1

The box did not stop when the cat entered

Why: Eviction mode is on, or a litter leveling / weight calibration cycle was running (these do not stop).

What to do: Turn off eviction mode in the app.1

Cat weight readings are wrong

Why: Feet not flat, soft or uneven floor, or fresh litter was just added.

What to do: Put all four feet on a flat firm surface; after adding litter wait about 30 minutes or hold the level button 2 seconds to recalibrate.1

App shows motor failure, an error light is on, or the box keeps self-checking

Why: The cylinder release latch is not closed, the cylinder is not seated, or something is stuck in the rotation mechanism.

What to do: Secure the latch; lift the cylinder out, clear debris from the base and cylinder, refit it and close the latch.1
