This is a rotating drum box. The steps below are the manufacturer's own; if a step involves opening the unit, check the warranty first.
The cylinder turns by itself after being put in
Why: The unit detects the cylinder position and returns it home.
What to do: Normal; no action needed.1
Display says the lid is not in place
Why: The lid is on the wrong way round.
What to do: Seat the lid with the PETKIT logo facing the display.1
Cylinder stops during a cycle
Why: Safety monitoring detected a pet or person near the entrance.
What to do: Move away; it resumes automatically.1
Waste container shows full when it is not
Why: The trash bag is tilted and blocks the fullness sensors.
What to do: Re-seat the bag, press the bag ring firmly and smooth the bag.1
Screen goes dark
Why: Screen saver, or screen turned off in the app.
What to do: Press any button; adjust brightness in settings.1
Display asks to lock the cylinder
Why: The cylinder knob is not in the locked position.
What to do: Turn the knob on the back counterclockwise to lock.1
